Freedom Fest, New Jersey’s Newest State Agricultural Fair, Prepares for 6th annual Event at the Horse Park of New Jersey

Allentown, NJ—Freedom Fest Fair, New Jersey’s premier festival, a New Jersey State Agricultural Fair approved by the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and the Monmouth County Board of Agriculture, is entering its 6th year.

The event will again be held at the Horse Park of New Jersey, located conveniently off exit 11 on Rt 195 in Historic Upper Freehold Township, NJ. This venue is one of the premier equestrian parks on the East Coast, which has hosted world-class events such as qualifying exhibitions for the Olympic Games; “I am ecstatic over having the Horse Park of New Jersey being the home of the Freedom Fest Fair. It is no doubt the best Fair venue in the State”. said Nicholas DeMauro, one of the event’s founders and co-chairmen. “The location and space that the Park offers is perfect for the expansion of this ever-growing event.” The last time a fair of this magnitude was held in this area, it was in Hamilton when they hosted the NJ State Fair.

The Freedom Fest Fair supports many area Churches and Non Profit Organizations, and its major sponsor is the Allentown Presbyterian Church (APC), which is located in downtown Allentown, New Jersey. Freedom Fest Fair’s mission is focused on providing a unique festival event for Central New Jersey while providing a way for many area churches and non-profit organizations to promote and expand their own missions and services in the community.

“Freedom Fest is entering its sixth year and truly has become one of the largest events in this area,” said Kevin Dreher, event co-chairman. “This year’s event will offer more than previous years for all of our guests.”

The Freedom Fest Fair will run from July 8-12, with Camp Days on July 9 and 11. This year the event will be open Tues – Thursday at 5 and open all day on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. In addition to its long-standing relationship with Amusements of America and their state-of-the-art amusement rides, there will be many more games of skill, a huge food court offering a wide variety of tasty treasures, plus an expanded section of talented local craft and service vendors.

Last year’s star attraction, The Great American Frontier and Wildlife Show, is returning with an even bigger exhibition that, along with its bears and big cats, will include an agricultural museum and other attractions and will perform several shows each night. New this year is two unbelievable acts, one is the largest traveling Sea Lion in the United States and the other is Sheers Lumberjack Show featuring stars from ESPN. And, a country fair would not be complete without racing pigs—the organizers of Freedom Fest are very excited to announce that Robinson’s Racing Pigs and Paddling Porkers will perform four shows nightly.

A long-standing tradition at Freedom Fest has been the top-notch live entertainment offered every night, and this year is no exception. Already scheduled to perform are the River Dogs, and children’s entertainer Mr. Ray, with more concerts to be announced soon.

Freedom Fest Fair is also proud to maintain it’s with 4h-Stars and Stripes group, a prominent agricultural organization that will host a fun and educational show featuring animals from four surrounding states. Some of Stars and Stripes’ exhibits and live demonstrations that will be continuously featured during the Fair include knitting and spinning, sheep filling, dog obedience, cow milking, tomato and egg judging, wheel barrel races and many more fun-filled exhibits for all ages.

The Fair will once again conclude with a spectacular fireworks display on July 12. This year’s event will again be sponsored by The Bank–First Washington Division, Packet Publications, Optimum and many other community sponsors, such as Reed’s Sod Farm.
